I’ve been crazy doing updates and changes to the WeWriteRomance.com website. Really, I’ve still been trying to recoup from the fall I had last winter (where I broke my knee and hurt the quickly going old back!). The thing is, I’ve not been able to concentrate long enough to write anything. And the editorial changes I’ve had for some months are still to be done, as well as the new material I have in the works. Though I keep asking myself if it really is the lack of concentration or just life getting in the way. Some might say writers block. Who knows?
Anyway, not that it doesn’t take some mind to do but I’ve found I enjoy and relax while working on the WWR site and it gives me that link to writing that I seem to need.
So…
I hope you’ll visit me over there. This coming month we’re having a Presents/Modern Authors Blogathon all month long!
See you soon!

I have never been one to watch sports. Not that much anyway. I’ve been pretty passive in the previous years…even when it was in Atlanta. The thing is…I’ve been TIVOing the 2008 Olympics like crazy! The two that I’ve enjoyed the most has been the girls gymnastics and the women’s and men’s swimming. It’s been so exciting. Especially Michael Phelps winning so many golds. Is it me or has everyone gotten more lean, more strong and more everything since the past years?

p.s. See the cute pic I found of Phelps?

I’ve been debating for some time now buying a cheaper laptop. I keep paying a lot for mine and not getting but a couple of years out of it (if that) and then something happens to either the power plug or the ethernet port. I have kids…what can I say?
Anyway, I had been debating it some time and then this weekend (since it’s tax free weekend in TN), I took the plunge and bought a cheap one from Wal-Mart
. I have 15 days to decide if I want to take it back or not. The guarantee states that as long as I don’t add software I can take it back for any reason…if I do add software it has to be taken back for something wrong with it. Either way, that’s a pretty generous guarantee.
I’ll let you know if I don’t keep it…or if it turns out to be junk!

Ever wonder if you’re making the right choice in what your kids see on tv? Everyone has an opinion, but I’m not always sure THEY know what they’re talking about either. I try to keep an open mind, but with today’s society being what it is, sometimes it’s hard. Especially in a time when animated movies are both geared toward adults and kids alike. So what do you do?
I’ve been trying to take my que from my husband, my son and a mix of what I remember watching as a child. This doesn’t always bode well as my mother was very open to me watching pretty much anything (she was a child of the 70s type of free love). I was raised on a lot of science fiction and love stories, so alas I’m still wondering tonight if I should let him watch some of the new Batman movies (the real ones, not the cartoons) and Spiderman. While these are superheroes, they aren’t the lamed down version they had when I was a kid. They’re really violent (at least from what I can tell from previews and reviews) and probably too “adult” for my son.
Hm…

Anyone seen Cinderella III? What a weird twist on a favored classic. It just goes to show you that you can’t keep two people who are destined to be in love/together apart…
Sigh…

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this, but my family is in the process of moving to a new town. It’s been crazy for the past year trying to get the house in order and ready to sell. What’s with the accumulation of…well, everything? I can’t figure out where some of our junk even came from. Then there’s the kids stuff. Well, we won’t go there either.
I’m sure some would say I’m a packrat, but I don’t think so. I think we just constantly bring in new items to pile on top of the old before you can go through them.
Anway, I’ve been donating a lot of items to our local Goodwill store, and learning to throw out what we don’t need and can’t donate. I just hope it sticks when we get to the new place!

Does anyone else have a hard time reading by the pool? Inevitably I get the book wet or the sun gives me a headache from reading even with sunglasses. I don’t have too much trouble with the beach, but for some reason the glare from the pool and the kids splashing makes everything a mess!

Did you know that if you can’t find a book you’re looking for at your local Wal-Mart, you can always order it online and have it shipped to you free! Wal-Mart.com has FREE shipping with their program Site to Store
.
I’ve got a friend who does the Site to Store with other things as well, and hasn’t had a problem….
Just thought I’d share!

Hi, again! Wow, three times in one day!
A friend of mine told me about a new place to download ebooks, here’s a link to to Diesel-Ebooks.com. I’ve not tried them out, but they might be a good source since their book pages are so neat.
Let me know if you do try them out!
