Cinderella III — Disney Movie
June 22nd, 2008Anyone seen Cinderella III? What a weird twist on a favored classic. It just goes to show you that you can’t keep two people who are destined to be in love/together apart…
Sigh…

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this, but my family is in the process of moving to a new town. It’s been crazy for the past year trying to get the house in order and ready to sell. What’s with the accumulation of…well, everything? I can’t figure out where some of our junk even came from. Then there’s the kids stuff. Well, we won’t go there either.
I’m sure some would say I’m a packrat, but I don’t think so. I think we just constantly bring in new items to pile on top of the old before you can go through them.
Anway, I’ve been donating a lot of items to our local Goodwill store, and learning to throw out what we don’t need and can’t donate. I just hope it sticks when we get to the new place!

Does anyone else have a hard time reading by the pool? Inevitably I get the book wet or the sun gives me a headache from reading even with sunglasses. I don’t have too much trouble with the beach, but for some reason the glare from the pool and the kids splashing makes everything a mess!
Did you know that if you can’t find a book you’re looking for at your local Wal-Mart, you can always order it online and have it shipped to you free! Wal-Mart.com has FREE shipping with their program Site to Store.
I’ve got a friend who does the Site to Store with other things as well, and hasn’t had a problem….
Just thought I’d share!

Hi, again! Wow, three times in one day!
A friend of mine told me about a new place to download ebooks, here’s a link to to Diesel-Ebooks.com. I’ve not tried them out, but they might be a good source since their book pages are so neat.
Let me know if you do try them out!

I didn’t realize it had been so long since I posted last. I fell this past November and broke my knee (and hurt my back) so I’ve been going through PT since February. Life has been a little crazy, especially with the kids, but I’m back in the swing of things I think now. I’ve got WeWriteRomance.com going strong and updating it regularly. I’ve also been doing a lot of new websites for some fabulous authors like Margaret Mayo, Michelle Reid, and my latest, Chantelle Shaw. It has been so welcoming to have these sites to focus on as writing has elluded me on the medicines I’ve had to take for my back.
I’ve also attended the Lori Foster & Dianne Castell Get Together just a few weeks ago. It was wonderful. I hadn’t been able to attend in the past, but I will definitely be doing it again. They have a very open program that allows you to visit with readers and writers a lot! It also is a great way to meet up with old friends. Well, not old as in aged friends, but you know what I mean.
Michelle B. from LifetimeTV.com was there, as well as many other industry professionals. If you’re looking to network, it’s a great place. But more than that, it’s a great place to find new authors to read! I met the wonderful, Heather Grothaus. She’s an absolute doll, and I can’t wait to have the chance to see her again.
Well, I’m off to work on some more updates, but I’ll try (I know, I know, I’ve said that before haven’t I?) to update the blog more often.
Take care,
Heather R.
p.s. Be sure to visit WeWriteRomance.com soon to see what’s up there!
MSNBC has a poll set up to vote for whether or not you read romance novels. While they call them the stereo-typical ‘boddice rippers’, don’t be offended…still vote. I think any reconigition for the industry from such a source as this can only show that we support romance.

I’m ready for the weekend, but it won’t be a restful one. I’ve got the big T to do! I know lots of people, well, everyone, has or should be doing theirs this time of year, but that doesn’t mean I like it!
Taxes take up so much time…why? And why do we dread it so much?
I’m guessing the reason to be procrastination. Like I talked about in a previous post, whether you admit it or not, if you put things off you procrastinate. And while I don’t do it with everything, taxes seems to be the one thing I push the deadline on…sometimes.
Othertimes, I’m the first one done in my family.
Well, off to work on the big T.
Later,
Heather R.
I enjoy surfing the web sometimes. I like finding neat sites. I also think it’s nice to share it with your friends! So here’s a few that you might find interesting:
Nora Roberts Books - this is a fan site that lists all of Nora’s books
CrazyforPuzzles - if you like puzzles, this is a fund place to surf around
Home Management Tips - this is a neat place that gives some very useful tips
Perpetual Procrastination - this is a crazy place that deals with what we all (either admit or deny but ultimately have!) a problem with putting things off!
I’ll see what else I can come up with to share…
Until then,
Heather R.
Hi!
I wanted to take a minute to let you know that WWR has relaunched! I’m so excited. I was able to line up some great interviews, including one with the wonderful Lucy Monroe and one with the awesomely talented Kate Walker! They’re both great authors and you’ll be interested to find out what’s new with them.
You can find their interviews here: http://www.wewriteromance.com/interviews/
You’ll also find that WWR has some new programs in the works for both readers and writers. The author sponsorship program is in full force with many of the same great authors as before, as well as many more new ones, like Margaret Mayo and Leanne Tyler.
Besides relaunching WWR this month, I’ve been busy submitting my most recently written manuscripts. Life’s crazy…but oh, so worth it!
I hope you’ll take time to visit WWR…there’s more coming there. And with the new year I’m planning to do more than ever with the sites I’m working on (WWR, this one, and a few more).
Later,
Heather R.
